Jelena is a Customer Advocate with our Operations team. She makes sure our customers’ loan applications are complete and ready for final approval. She spends her days gathering and reviewing documents, setting up escrow accounts, coordinating with title companies, and working with our closing team to make sure the loans are funded on time. Most important, she is on hand to guide our customers by thoroughly explaining the entire process, helping them complete and compile all necessary documents and answering any questions they have.
“The most exciting part of my job is getting to share in the excitement of seeing someone become a homeowner, or to help them get into a better financial situation and knowing I helped make a difference in their lives. It’s very disappointing when we can’t qualify a customer or successfully fund the loan, so I’m motivated by wanting to do everything in my power to make sure that doesn’t happen.”
Jelena moved to U.S. just five years ago from Serbia. She was new to the country and to the mortgage industry. After spending time with another mortgage company, she wanted a fresh start with an organization where she could learn and grow. During her interview process, she got to meet several members of the team. She knew it was the place she had been looking for and that made for an easy decision to join the Freedom family.
