“Freedom has become family to me. We work, laugh, and cry together like any family does.”
Garry’s role as a Sales Associate in Correspondent Lending requires him to be agile and cover a lot of ground. His primary role is to serve as a liaison between our correspondent partners and our operation center. Garry also helps with new client setup and orientation, loan pricing research, guideline and policy search, billing collection, customer follow-ups and identifying areas of opportunity to improve workflow processes.
“The correspondent division has already had some record-breaking achievements since I’ve joined the Freedom family. Each day and each client offer a new opportunity and sometimes a new challenge, so there’s never a dull moment around here.”
If you ask Garry what makes Freedom special, he’s quick to point out that his team makes all the difference.
“The Sales Associate team is one of the greatest groups of individuals I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. Each person brings their own unique talent to form an extremely dynamic group. I couldn’t be prouder to be associated with all of them.
Freedom has become family to me. We work, laugh and cry together like any family does. We’ve endured some challenging times with one another, but we’ve experienced phenomenal success as well. I’ve seen each member of this team, including myself, being given opportunities to learn, grow and succeed. We learn from each other’s mistakes and celebrate our successes, together.”
For anyone considering a career move to Freedom Mortgage, Garry offered this insight.
“It’s truly the greatest company I’ve worked for in my 40-year career. The vision from department leaders all the way up to our CEO, Stan Middleman, is clear, concise, and consistent. Employees and their input are valued, and you’ll be working alongside an extremely talented group of individuals. The culture with this company is transformative, not only for you, but also for your entire family. You will not regret working for this company, that’s a promise!”
Outside of work, his favorite activity is fishing with his favorite person in the world – his grandson. Garry has also spent nearly 20 years coaching youth football in the Indiana Elementary Football Association, helping lead his team to three state titles and two national titles.
In addition, he has mentored young men transitioning out of the foster care system into adulthood, teaching them life skills like interviewing for a job or how to handle their finances. But most importantly, he’s always on-hand to offer advice when life presents them with challenges.
