Position Summary:

Freedom Mortgage is looking for a Visual Designer who understands how to build, maintain and socialize a design system across multiple ecosystems. Looking for a self-starter who understands the importance of scaling visual patterns to nourish design for different experiences. You’d help craft first impression of Freedom’s experiences and products by collaborating with other designers, product owners, engineering, marketing and stakeholders. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with design team to align and collect visual components and assets for the design system.
  • Work with design team to create, document, maintain, and organize production assets into a design system.
  • Work within brand guidelines to create layouts that reinforce a brand’s style or voice through its visual touchpoints.
  • Design logos, icons and infographics if needed.
  • Closely collaborate with designers, developers, product owners, copywriters and stakeholders to solve complex visual design problems.
  • Own the evolution of the design system and practice socializing across the organization.
  • Collaborate to define new processes that drive efficiency within the design and product organization.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Comply with all company policies and procedures.


  • 2-4 related work experience preferred.
  • BA in design, graphics, photography, HCI and related degrees. Design thinking, service thinking, and product strategy a plus.
  • Portfolio showcasing your work required.
  • Excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation and negotiation skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of working with Sketch, figma, InVision,, jira and confluence.
  • Solid understanding of different digital ecosystems, web, mobile, and wearables.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A penchant for details and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously.
