**This is a remote position**


The Sr IT Internal Auditor is responsible for the development and execution of internal audits which includes the below essential job functions. 

Essential Job Functions may include:  

  • Audit components of the business units including critical technology functions, cloud-based infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT risk management, application security, and third-party risk management
  • Design and execute internal control testing for operations of varying complexity.
  • Perform audit tasks of moderate difficulty, demonstrating a degree of audit expertise consistent with experience level.
  • Prepare clear, organized and complete documentation to support work performed
  • Prioritize and effectively plan own work activities managing multiple priorities and tasks across the team to deliver quality results.
  • Establish and maintain good client relations during engagements
  • Assist in communicating the results of some audit projects to management via written reports and oral presentations.
  • Perform various aspects of engagement administration, including hours and budget tracking.
  • Effectively communicate information, issues and audit progress to teammates and auditees.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of Internal Audit IT Risk Assessment

Other Related Duties:

Performs other related duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise and mentor IT audit staff in audit methodology and IT audit techniques

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science from four-year College or University; Certifications related to Technology or Auditing, such as Cloud provider certifications, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) preferred • 4+ years of conducting audits of controls in cloud-based environments • 4+ years of experience with IT control frameworks • 4+ year of experience in banking, in the financial services industry, in a professional services firm serving clients in large banks, or a combination

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and work place policies. Ability to analyze, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write professional correspondences. Ability to write routine business reports. Ability to speak effectively with other employees and/or customers. Ability to present formal information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees. Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, managers, employees, customers and/or the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.



Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

CISA or other Cyber Security Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security + etc preferred.
