Description

The Business Operations Analyst’s primary responsibility will be to ensure the information technology applications are available and flexible to meet the changing business environment. Maintaining operational stability, application performance and immediate response to reported incidents are the performance measurements for the role. The candidate will serve as an information technology subject matter expert for the applications and channel they support.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Discuss releases and potential impacts to monitoring, alerting or SLOs
  • Actively participate on the major incident bridges to identify and quantify business impacts
    • Draft, review and communicate impacts to those affected
    • Effectively triage, examine and diagnose incidents to reduce the MTTR of the product or platform
    • Review incident details complete a post-mortem analysis which includes plans to detect and/or prevent issue re-occurrence
    • Prep, review and send weekly application scorecards
      • Review and analyze each section of the scorecard for accuracy
      • Hold monthly scorecard meetings with product/platform stakeholders
        • Analyze aggregate data from the previous month
        • Suggest opportunities to reduce MIs, Improve Failed Changes, Service Desk tickets or any other suggestions to improve the product or platform
        • Analyze incidents and tasks that Service Desk / Production Support teams are completing daily/weekly/monthly. (Reducing Toil)
        • Look for opportunities to reduce incidents by automating or fixing
          • Open stories to Product Teams (Missing Business Process) or RTE (Technical Debt)
          • Create, maintain and distribute Application/Operations runbooks for all products/platforms
            • Review runbooks with product owners on a cadence to ensure evergreen
            • Use the Playbook Structure documented as a guide and make changes as necessary
            • Ensure Application Audit logs are following the Enterprise Monitoring template
            • Create, review and update monitoring and alerts as needed

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College/University or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of diverse financial services / mortgage banking experience preferred 
  • Business analysis skills are required.
  • Support business and IT teams
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
