The Valuations Specialist I is responsible for functions related to fulfillment of the property valuations orders for all Servicing Operations, while ensuring compliance of state, federal, and investor guidelines. In addition, will be expected to assist with escalated matters, questions and issues of a complex nature and provide support where required as volumes and needs dictate. 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Address escalated matters, questions, and issues of a complex nature and provide support where required as volumes and needs dictate 
  • Process valuation requests for all Servicing lines of business  
  • Daily monitoring and follow-up on outstanding and past-due orders  
  • Handling correspondence and requests for valuation vendors  
  • Follow-up with property preservation team for property access issues  
  • Locating and providing documents upon request of valuation vendor  
  • Review and submission of vendor invoices for payment  
  • Maintain knowledge of valuation types, vendor procedures and timelines  
  • Navigation through multiple vendor portals  
  • Various functions using company systems and software, including but not limited to, proper file notations, loading of supporting documentation into imaging system of record, reviewing/completing assigned tasks, monitor attorney tasks and responses. 
  • Manage work queues and tasks  
  • Basic knowledge of State requirements, CFPB, RESPA, FCRA, ECOA, and TILA requirements, including the most recent changes to these regulations

  • 2-3 years Mortgage Default experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-manage time and task prioritization
  • Well-rounded knowledge of mortgage servicing terminology
  • Ability to build relationships with both internal and external clients/vendors.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret loan documents, policies and procedures

Education and/or Experience: 

  • High School Diploma Required 
  • Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School preferred; or 2 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
