Special Loans Administrator 

The Special Loans Administrator is responsible for administrating the daily functions of the Special Loans Portfolio, including but not limited to Service member Civil Relief Act (SCRA), Adjustable Rate Mortgages (ARM), Buydowns, Balloons, Assumptions and Partial Release loans in accordance with Federal, State, Investor and Company guidelines.

  • Reviews and processes requests for SCRA initial and continued eligibilityReview and validate ARM data on servicing platform for accuracy to ensure loans adjust timely
  • Completes daily, weekly, monthly ARM indexes, updates, validates and verifies on the servicing platform
  • Prepare the outgoing assumption package to the customer, order credit report and request other required documents to complete the loan file, submit file to underwriting
  • Based upon underwriting decision, finish processing assumption for loan closing and coordinate closings or mail adverse action notice to customer
  • Review initial request for partial release, act as a liaison between the customer and internal counsel for required documents until a final decision has been rendered
  • Ensure the buydown agreement and/or the balloon note matches the setup on the servicing platform
  • Perform loan level maintenance as needed on all special loan functions
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers

Education & Requirements 

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a 2-year College or Technical School  
  • Minimum 6 months - 1 year of experience performing similar work  
  • Mortgage experience or loan processing/post-closing experience preferred 
  • Experience with Excel, Word, Adobe Professional, and Outlook required
