Summary
The Senior Loan Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Title Related Functions needed as part of the Loan Application Process. This position may include but is not limited to analyzing Title Commitments, Related Curative Documents, Property Tax Records, Fee Quotes, etc., as part of assessing the collateral as acceptable for securing a new loan. Based on these assessments, the Loan Coordinator may make mortgage loan recommendations for all loan products.
Essential Job Functions may include:
- Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service. Duties include acting as the liaison between internal departments and Service Providers.
- Demonstration of knowledge in the area of Title to determine appropriate path of action for a transaction.
- Meets and exceeds all performance standards established for this role.
- Adheres to all policy, procedure, and regulatory guidelines.
- Works well independently and as a team player.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Recommends that title and loan not meeting standards be restructured or denied.
- Prepares loan application file for underwriting approval.
- Schedules loan closing with borrower.
- Submits approved mortgage loan file to the Mortgage Loan Closer for settlement.
- Records data on status of loans, including number of new applications and loans approved, canceled, or denied, using computer.

Education and/or Experience:
Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum 1-2 years previous experience in a mortgage processing environment required. Mortgage Processing Experience is also a plus, 3-5 years may be substituted for Title Experience. Working knowledge of MS Office skills required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public in an articulate and professional manner.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages and other basic math.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
