SUMMARY

The Supervisor is responsible for managing the preservation of vacant properties serviced by Freedom Mortgage Corporation in accordance with investor and insurer guidelines.  This position will assist management with day to day operations of the department and be required to monitor and report on preservation timelines by developing and implementing monthly department Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).  In addition to training, coaching, and mentoring of the staff by developing, directing, and organizing policies and procedures with the initiatives of the department, CFPB, investor or insurer of the portfolio.  The Supervisor will also be responsible for monitoring and managing all vendor relationships.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Carrying out management responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies, applicable laws and the companies overall Guiding Philosophy
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the property preservation department.
  • Conduct ongoing coaching and development to staff to achieve set departmental goals.
  • Performing hands-on training of all new hires employees.
  • Conducting periodic desk reviews, and completing annual performance reviews.
  • Organizing workloads according to quantity of property preservation files.
  • Assigning workloads to the property preservation personnel for processing.
  • Writing letters or approving letters for use in the property preservation department.
  • Monitoring property preservation vendors and their quality of service.
  • Interviewing and hiring new employees.
  • Employee recognition and discipline, addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Prepare, develop and review quality control reports to determine which preservation timelines are not meeting investor and or insurer guidelines
  • Handle escalated issues, provide knowledge and expertise for litigious correspondence by providing complex problem resolution to questions
  • Assist in identification of business drivers and trends as well as development and execution of strategic plans to address trends
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for any system roll outs, policy procedure changes, or regulatory changes
  • Monitor performance and productivity metrics and continuously improve processes
  • Review of various current reports and assistance with identification of new reports, including ensuring department SLA's are met
  • Rewarding and disciplining employees in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Exhibit a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Fiserv, and Business Objects.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervises approximately seven employees in the Property Preservation Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
