Description

The Product Director is responsible for supporting the SVP, IT Product Management in the development and implementation of the automation strategy within technology products.  Will work closely with business leadership to identify desired features and functionality, as well as opportunities for improvement.  This role will foster effective cross-team collaboration to enable efficient delivery of product enhancements with the goal of improving the overall customer experience.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Align the product team around a cohesive product roadmap
  • Identify OKR/metrics and work with teams to meet them
  • Assist in feature prioritization and development of the product automation roadmap
  • Partner with business owners to identify automation opportunities to align with business goals
  • Turn customer pain points into actionable user stories, prioritize and arrange user stories in the backlog
  • Coordinate with technical architects to align automation architecture with business needs
  • Communicate the voice of the customer to the development team
  • Motivate product team to stay agile and work effectively to meet timelines
  • Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process and report status
  • Continuously work towards improving product quality, increasing velocity and reducing defect rate
  • Attend daily scrum meetings to ensure that development work is aligned with the roadmap
  • Consistently operate within the defined IT and business standards and procedures
  • Build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Manage a team of 2-4 experienced BAs, working with them on workstreams and deliverables as well as career development and company culture.
  • Define automation opportunities with internal and external data integration and/or third-party services
  • Ability to envision and integrate solution with end-to-end technology roadmap

. Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role requires leadership and direction of direct and indirect staff towards deadlines, goals and accomplishments.

  Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College or University; five (5) years related experience and/or training of equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive knowledge of both Mortgage business and IT solutions, Freedom Mortgage experience preferred
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize initiatives, foster collaboration between departments and drive initiatives to completion through accountability
  • Understands organizational structure to influence and obtain agreement from stakeholders; Knows who/where to pursue information within the organization and applies towards removing team obstacles
  • Strong professional development skills such as oral and written communications, personal credibility
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, customer oriented and able to work independently as well as within a team
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Previous experience in Mortgage Banking and/or associated lines of business is highly preferred
