Freedom Mortgage is seeking an enthusiastic and driven IT professional to join the Database Administration team in the role of Oracle Application DBA. As part of the DBA team, the individual will be responsible for the creation and migration of Oracle objects from development through production environments across the enterprise Oracle databases. This includes activities to review, develop and implement Oracle and MySQL database changes as well as assist the development and data modeling teams with query performance tuning and optimization. This role will include interfacing and active involvement with the database management teams, other IT department team members, change management team, and business partners.

Position Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Oracle database application maintenance
  • Experience with creation of database objects (tables, views, indexes, procedures, packages, triggers)
  • Change control management experience
  • Creation of standardized scripts for database objects and data migrations
  • Assists with query performance tuning, data loads, export / import operations, and index tuning as needed
  • Works closely with development and data modeling teams to scope projects
  • Ability to be in an on-call rotation to provide production support 24/7
  • Performs other assigned duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.



  • Working knowledge of and experience with Oracle 12c and 19c
  • Oracle development background preferred
  • Experience with performance tuning
  • Change control management experience a must
  • Understanding of relational database concepts
  • Understanding of role based security
  • AWS Relational Database Services (RDS) experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work in fast paced team environment
  • Working knowledge of data warehouse and business intelligence impact on database architecture, tuning, etc.
  • Keen time management and organizational skills


Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
