The Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) Transfer analyst is responsible for managing servicing transfers for Bulk and Flow Mortgage Servicing Loan acquisitions from various Mortgage Banking Institutions typically consisting of up to 30,000 loans being transacted and $8 Billion in unpaid principal balances. The coordinator also assists on larger MSR acquisitions.  This position requires a high level of coordination with our sub servicers and key internal business partners as well as in depth knowledge of Servicing requirements and regulations.

  • Track and monitor compliance with all the complex loan data and reporting requirements outlined in the signed Servicing Transfer Instructions to board to Freedom’s Servicing System of Record.
  • Apply knowledge of RESPA, CFPB and Agencies Guidelines when analyzing and validating Servicer data provided by client prior to boarding to Freedom System of Record, ensuring compliance and limiting risk exposure to Freedom.
  • Utilize Monarch and other technical tools to create models to map and convert large and complex data sets needed for setting up customer loan records in our Servicing system of record.
  • Responsible for running control reports, and performing reconciliations to ensure key data fields are boarded to Servicing System of Record accurately and in compliance with transfer requirements
  • Update and maintain key transfer documents to include but not limited to, servicing due diligence questionnaire, transfer instructions and reporting to ensure all timelines are met and meet Agency required Servicing transfer requirements
  • Ability to apply terms and requirements of Purchase and Sales Agreements, Letters of Intent relative to Servicing Transfers ensuring sellers comply with requirements and parameters escalating exceptions to Sr. Management.
  • Coordinate pre and post transfer activities between Client, Freedom Mortgage, Document Custodians and Sub Servicers with weekly meetings or more frequently in order to resolve any open critical items.
  • Prepare and distribute executive summaries to internal Servicing Line of Business partners on key attributes relative to transfer that impact their areas or require action.
  • Tracking Mortgage Custodial Documents as it relates to contractual holdbacks
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, as well as vendors
  • Quickly assess the big picture in complex situations and identify what is critical to the success of the overall transfer.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelors Degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or University
  • 2 to 4 years Mortgage Servicing experience
  • 2 years Mortgage Transfers experience
