Summary

The Loan Analyst is responsible for preparing loan files for underwriting review.  The Loan Analyst will be responsible for determining that all borrower documents and third party documents meet agency and Freedom Mortgage guidelines.

Essential Job Functions:  

  • Review the appropriate credit, income, property, and asset documentation  
  • Validate submitted information from the borrower is complete and accurate
  • Validate that 3 rd party documentation is complete and accurate including but not limited to: title, appraisal, insurance, credit supplements.
  • Communicate accuracy of documents in O.S by updating appropriate fields.
  • Enter detail comments in OS.
  • Run PredProtect.
  • Run DU and be able to resolve errors
  • Run and review FraudGuard.
  • Scan applicable checklists into EDMS.
  • Communicate with other departments additional needs to receive final approval from underwriting.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

4 year college degree preferred or 1 to 2 years previous experience in a mortgage environment .  Must be able to work independently or as part of a team in a high-paced environment.  Working knowledge of MS Office skills required.
