The Business Analyst will be responsible for capturing business objectives by documenting the current/future state of critical business operations, automated systems process and reporting through a combination of skills leveraging; research, fact finding, interview sessions and the understanding of applicable business systems.

The Analyst will participate in the full life cycle of the projects to ensure a successful deployment of the technology and implementation of new business operation processes.

The Analyst will also be able to work within our rules engine to build and update products, eligibility rules, and pricing rules.   The Analyst must be able to maintain current rules or to build new rules from the business partner’s project templates.  

Essential Job Functions:

  • Defines and documents customer business functions and processes.
  • Works with unit management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.
  • Act as liaison between the business and technology teams.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into functional specs Qualifications.
  • Tracks and fully documents enhancements for functional and business specifications.
  • Ability to problem solve and potential implications of changes and documents business rules, functions and requirements.
  • Learn and become comfortable within user friendly rules engine.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College or University.
  • Business analysis skills are required.
  • Prior Experience in Mortgage Industry would be highly desirable, though not a requirement.
  • Support business and IT teams, including requirements gathering and project management for new development and integration projects with little or no direction.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Comfortable with excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong organizational skills in order to handle multiple projects, handle priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to thoroughly test and validate all work.
