Summary:
The Escrow Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Escrow Administration are performed in a timely and accurately manner while remaining compliant with all State, Federal and Investor guidelines.
Essential Job Functions may include:
- Ensures that all disbursements for escrow items, including but not limited to real estate taxes, hazard and flood insurance and PMI/MIP are processed from the borrowers’ escrow account in a timely and accurately manner.
- Works with vendors in order to update the flood map changes on all active servicing portfolios.
- Procures recoverable corporate advances incurred on delinquent taxes.
- Ensures that escrow loans are analyzed in accordance with all applicable company, investor and regulatory requirements.
- Monitors status of payments for real estate taxes, hazard insurance and HOA fees on non-escrow loans.
- Manages Hazard Loss claims.
- Oversees the PMI/MIP removal process to ensure that coverage is removed in accordance with applicable investor and regulatory requirements.
- Assists with training, staff development, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Ensures all policies and procedures updated and meet company, investor and regulatory guidelines.
- Identifies and makes recommendations for the improvement of controls in the overall servicing operation processes and procedures.
- Communicates any trends and / or problems with recommended solutions to senior management.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors Degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or University; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensing/Certification/Registration:
This position does not require professional licensing, certification or registration.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Personal/Organizational Contacts:
Regular and substantial contact with others. Contacts usually involve discussions related to policies and programs. Handles sensitive, complex, and/or confidential information.
Customer Service Relationships:
Assesses and diffuses problem situations and requires influencing others to reach consensus. Requires tact and diplomacy to handle difficult customer relationships. Explores alternatives and creative solutions to meeting the needs of customers.
Work Complexity:
Tasks are multiple and diverse with some interrelationship across processes. Work requires the direct application of a variety of procedures, policies and/or precedents.
Independent Judgement/Problem Solving:
Performs duties within scope of general Company policies, procedures and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures and practices. Refers exceptions to policy and procedures to the supervisor.
