

Document Management Specialist I

SummaryResponsible for processing servicing loan documents, in paper and image format, and load them into the document management system to optimize business processes, meet regulatory requirements and customer care needs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Track, sort and open incoming servicing mail and documents received from other sources.
- Responsible for preparing, scanning, quality checking document images and proper transfer of batches.
- Responsible for identifying correct borrower loan number and cross-reference with name & address in LoanServ.
- Load document images to electronic document repository database - EDMS and accurately categorize/index.
- Create CIT flag in LoanServ notifying responsible business unit of document upload.
- Process and route exception documents.
- Prepare document batches for short term storage and retrieve when necessary.
- Aid in the disposition of documents process.
- Responsible for daily user maintenance of equipment.

Education and/or Experience:
Some College/Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with document scanning and indexing. Proficient in Excel, Adobe Acrobat and knowledge of various file formats.
Language Skills:
Ability to read business journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, managers, employees, customers and/or the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage and the ability to interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
