Summary

Responsible for performing an investor outlined audit on each final document for accuracy and completeness prior to delivery to the investor, custodian or servicer.  Responsible for the training of new employees coming into this position as well as taking on critical issues/problems associated with this position.  May include assisting with monitoring pool certification.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Processing of all critical docs when needed.  Could include processing and monitoring docs for pool certifications.   Conduct timely follow up to the Mangers in regard to critical issues.
  • Perform training of new employees. This will include training and fielding any and all questions pertaining to.
  • Special projects which may include reviewing docs returned to FMC by the custodian, and reviewing odd docs received by the FDS which may need to be redirected to another dept.
  • Contacting the issuing agent or county websites to retrieve the corrected/outstanding recorded security instruments, final title policies, etc.
  • Utilizes knowledge of applicable Mortgage Banking laws, regulations, and guidance.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively through all correspondence.
  • Building relationships with our Document Custodians, and within other channels at Freedom that support Final Documents.
  • Be open and receptive to ideas for improvements from Management.

Education and/or Experience:

Highschool Diploma or equivalent; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.



 

Work Environment :

Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.


Physical Demands:

Position requires light physical activity.
