Partners with other senior IT members to enable and continuously improve day-to-day Lakewood technology operations as well as prepare the Lakewood Administration Environment to scale at the pace of Freedom business. This role leads the team that is responsible for administering the Loan Origination environment and well has the Lakewood Support Developers. This position will work closely with IT and operations team to apply necessary functionality to meet vital business requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

  • 15+ Years Mortgage Systems administration experience
  • Must have: 10+ years in advanced administration of business rules within Lakewood
  • Leads the effort to organize, define, and maintain business rules with the LOS and partner with Risk Management, and the IT Architecture team on building out a BRMS system
  • Background in Project Management, Project Engineering, and Program Management
  • Expert Knowledge in Freedom Mortgage LOS Lakewood
  • Expert in Progress Software Development
  • Make recommendations on system changes and optimizations.
  • Research changes in upcoming versions of Lakewood and other integrated applications.
  • Provide recommendations when necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Create implementation plans and perform system analysis to determine the impact of proposed solutions.
  • Write functional specifications, change requests, test plans, and training documentation.
  • Review business requirement documents and proposing solutions
  • Work with Product Managers/Project Managers to facilitate R&D sections and submit the scope and initial estimations to the business
  • Performing QA testing and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Design, document, configure, test & deploy approved Change Requests and Enhancement to system functionality.
  • Maintain Loan Setup settings as applicable to ongoing business needs.
  • Maintain complete document library, build custom documents as needed and maintain eFolder settings
  • Perform routine review of code, configuration, data, and usage to ensure long term viability, integrity, and adoption of the program.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, developers, and subject matter experts for enhancement request submission.
  • Provide technical documentation on all process, feature, and workflow changes for proper documentation for communication to end users.
  • Maintain business rules for data entry, workflow progression and regulatory compliance as requested by each business group.
  • Prepare reporting for regulatory examination process including electronic submission of data to regulatory agencies.

Education and Skills



College Degree or Equivalent Experience



  • 15+ years residential mortgage experience
  • 15+ years support / analytical experience
  • Experience with Freedom web-based products and services a plus
