Description

The Director, Learning and Development Administration will report to the VP, Learning & Development and will have two primary areas: developing new eLearning and managing/administering our Learning Management System (LearnUpon). Both with a focus on maximizing participant experience and effectiveness.  The role will be part of the Learning & Development team and will manage direct and indirect reports. Should have significant (and recent) experience administering a Learning Management System, be proficient in instructional design, and be able to manage a team.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Create and replicate engaging, LMS instances and processes to support separate entities
2. Establish LMS Requirements and manage review of potential new technologies
3. Creation and updating of courses, curricula, modules and sessions in the learning management system (LearnUpon)
4. Assigning training, curricula. Reporting, including relevant training metrics.
5. Troubling shooting online courses and supporting the resolution of 1st level Help Desk user issues related to the LMS.
6. Creates, manages and enforces LMS system standards, policies and procedures. Ensuring data integrity
7. Manage instructional design functions: designing and developing eLearning
8. Develop relationships with/utilize external vendors
9. Creates, manages and enforces instructional design standards, policies and procedures. Evaluate training effectiveness
10. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Comply with all company policies and procedures.


Licensure, Certification, Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business related discipline, Education, IT or Computer Science with minimum 5 years related business experience or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Strong Learning Management System background
  • Strong instructional design background
  • Project and resource management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of MSOffice Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook 
  • Demonstrated strong self-initiative, attention to detail, problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
