The Data Analyst is responsible for gathering requirements and performing technical analysis of various data points from a variety of different systems. Additionally, this role will provide insights into the data being ingested, build models for business and IT analysis, and visually structure data in a variety of forms conducive to answering business questions in Freedom’s standard BI / Reporting tools.

Position Requirements:

  • Become an expert on the core decisioning that drives Freedom’s business
  • Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Create and publish data mapping documents
  • Develop and maintain data catalogues and data lineage documentation
  • Partner with architects and development teams to procure the necessary data and transfer it into a format more appropriate for analysis
  • Interact with business users to identify dashboard projects, report layouts, and analysis presentations
  • Periodically collect additional data through means such as analyzing business results
  • Search through large data sets for usable information using various tools and languages such as Python and SQL
  • Develop insights from models and create data connections for business decisions
  • Create reports and presentations to showcase insights
  • Analyzes, detects, identifies, and coordinates remediation of data issues
  • Communicate complex data/ideas in a simple, actionable way

Required Technical Skills:

  • Hands on around Python, Pandas and DataFrame
  • JSON, SQL, and PL/SQL
  • Snowflake, Oracle, and MS SQL Server
  • Data modeling and star schema design
  • Amazon S3, JIRA, and REST API
  • Tableau and Power BI
