

Credit Bureau Reporting Business Analyst

The CBR Business Analyst is responsible for review of loans for quality control, developing and working credit bureau exception/control reports. Daily validation of the data and management of tasks resulting from exceptions found in the reporting. The CBR Business Analyst will address issues, conduct root cause analysis and execute on plans for resolution of data discrepancies, working with peers and various lines of business.
The CBR Business Analyst provides research and data and analytical support to the Credit Bureau reporting team, various lines of business and Senior Leadership. The CBR Business Analyst will assist team members with developing and maintaining procedure documents, provide on the job training and evaluate process for best practice to ensure a high level of data integrity.
Essential Job Functions (include but are not limited to) :
- Quality Control review
- Assist in developing reports, interrogate data to ensure accuracy and take action to resolve exceptions.
- Responsible for working with other business units to ensure accuracy of data reported
- Conduct testing as related to new initiatives, code crosses and enhancements
- Provide analytical support in reviewing various control and illogical reports
- Educate and train other team members as needed.
- Apply math skills to analyze data
- Establish and foster a work culture at all levels within the operation which is positive, collaborative, respectful, optimistic, and capable of driving long term operational sustainability.
- Work with management to develop and implement new or revised processes and procedures to realize efficiencies.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Five plus years mortgage servicing experience (across multiple departments is desired).
Strong skills in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s, Excel formulas and other Excel functions)
Skilled in criteria building and report creation.
Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
Excellent critical thinking & problem solving
Fast learner, able to embrace new ideas and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, government & Investor regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients & customers.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic mathematical skills
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
