Summary
Day to day supervision of Closing Coordinator and Loan Closers, plus any temporary workers assigned to the closing area. Keeps Operations Manager updated on departmental and inter-departmental issues.
Essential Job Functions:
- Advising Operations Manager on policy matters related to closing area.
- Advising Operations Manager on closing area employee evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Training Closing Area staff in all aspects of closing area functionality on an ongoing basis.
- Reviewing and responding to standard operational reports and internal audits.
- Preparing, transmitting, reviewing and correcting wire transfer transactions for FHA, MIP, and VA Funding Fee.
- Answering telephone and staff inquiries related to closed loans.
- Compiling and submitting requests to Operations Manager for area material support (office supplies, forms, equipment, etc).
- Assigning special projects/tasks to staff members as required to maintain smooth operation of department (ex. file room).
- Performing duties of Loan Auditor and/or Document Control Specialist (only when circumstances require).
- Performing special projects as assigned by the home office, Branch Manager and/or Operations Manager.
- Taking scheduled turn at cleaning break room and supply room.
- Completing monitoring logs, reports, etc.
- Assisting with problem resolution in cooperation with other departments, as needed.
- Arriving for work on time and working overtime as required.
Other Related Duties:
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises up to 6 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
