This role plays a vital part in the continuous improvement strategy within the Correspondent Lending channel.  The primary responsibility of this role is to work between the business line and technology to identify, justify and implement technology projects and enhancements.  This role will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service levels through process improvement that will not require technology enhancements.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work as business liaison between correspondent lending and technology staff including project managers and business analysts.  This role will play a large part in defining business requirements in technology projects and process improvement initiatives focusing on customer service, improved efficiency, quality and reduction of risk
  • Represent business in IT projects to define requirements, coordinate testing and release to production
  • Examine existing correspondent operations processes and define opportunities for improvement.  Present opportunities to management for prioritization
  • Develop ROI and efficiency projections of proposed process improvements in correspondent lending
  • Measure efficiency gains and ROI after projects are deployed to capture results and measure against project goals
  • Coach business leaders in new processes and technology applications to ensure proper rollout and transfer of ownership to the business
  • Train offshore and onshore resources in improved processes and changes within the existing process
  • Work across departments with business line owners, managers and technicians to continually improve processes and service levels

  • Mortgage lending experience in processing, auditing or operations
  • Experience in correspondent lending
  • Able to work across departments with senior leadership
  • Able to analyze data and present conclusions that can be used to drive business decisions

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College or University or
  • 3 to 5 years working in mortgage lending with a focus on Correspondent lending preferred. 
  • Experience with loan processing, auditing, conditioning and compliance is desirable.
