This position will perform assigned functions within the Servicing Governance and Control team in a timely and accurate manner.   The primary role, of the Business Process Tester, is to execute testing of operational processes via test scripts/plans, on the end-to-end processes within Servicing Operations.  Additionally, the Business Process Tester will log test results, and document identified defects; completed tests are retained as an auditable document.  The individual for this role, should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, analytical/strategic with a comprehensive understanding of Mortgage Servicing, test protocols and framework. 


Essential Job Functions:

  • Analyze test results, reporting testing observations, including documenting deficiencies
  • Collaborate with Test Script Analysts and Manager to review test results
  • Assist in identifying root cause scenarios and possible corrective actions
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track test results
  • Demonstrate an understanding of control testing versus operational testing

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College or University; or six (6) to eight (8) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be confident and reliable
  • Should be consistent and display a high level of accuracy
  • Mortgage Servicing experience
  • Fiserv experience  
  • Should be experienced in MS Excel, Adobe, MS SharePoint and statistical sampling


Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Senior Vice Presidents, Directors, Vice Presidents and Line of Business Subject Matter Experts.


Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures such as defect percentages and trend analysis


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
