Business Analyst - Servicing Governance and Controls

This position will perform assigned functions within the Servicing Governance and Control team in a timely and accurate manner.   The primary role, of the Business Analyst, is to provide the Servicing Governance and Control team with data and analytics required to ensure that all Servicing processes are being performed timely, accurately and in compliance with all regulatory and investor requirements. In addition, this role, will provide data to Operational Control team to test the effectiveness of line of business processes.   

Essential Job Functions:  

  • Develop and maintain all reporting needs of Servicing Governance and Controls  
  • Work with Operational Control to prioritize needs and ensure timely access to needed data and reporting from both internal and external data sources 
  • Assist in building data analytics/ building dashboards  
  • Participate in creating control reports for testing methodology  
  • Assist in identifying root cause scenarios and possible corrective actions

  • Must have analytical/critical thinking skills to understand/communicate data metrics  
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in an efficient manner

Education and/or Experience:  

Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College or University; or six (6) to eight (8) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Sufficient statistical and mathematical skills 
  • Must be confident and reliable  
  • Should be consistent and display a high level of accuracy 
  • Mortgage Servicing experience  
  • Fiserv experience 


Language Skills:  
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. 

Mathematical Skills:  
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, commissions, and percentages. 

Reasoning Ability:  
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
