Team Freedom Cares Employee Spotlight: Paul T., IT Product Director, Digital Experience
Since March 2020, Paul T. has overseen a team that manages and develops digital experiences for FreedomMortgage.com. Born at Fort Riley in Kansas, Paul grew up in an Army active-duty household.
“I never lived very long in one spot—typically, two years at most,” he told us. “I lived across the United States at different military bases, as well as Germany for four years. I currently live right outside of Philadelphia, over the bridge in New Jersey.”
For over 16 years, Paul has been in the National Guard, which is a large component of his life as he serves not only his country, but also his community.
“I have always had a servant, leader, and helper mentality. One of the pillars I learned in the Army was ‘Selfless Service’. It’s important to give back whenever you can. I have engaged with philanthropic events in the past, but Bike MS has been the largest fundraiser I have worked with, to date.”
Bike MS is the largest fundraising cycling series in the world, dedicated to helping ensure people affected with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) have the resources they need to live their best lives. Every mile pedaled and every dollar raised through Bike MS brings us one step closer to a world free of MS. Nearly 75,000 cyclists and more than 6,000 teams ride together to change the world.
From September 24–25, Paul joined a group of 11 Freedom Mortgage employees and their family members to participate in their fundraising bike ride, City to Shore 2022.
If you’re interested in joining a Bike MS initiative in the future, visit here and find a Bike MS ride that is local for you. You can also donate to Team Freedom as they ride proudly with a Freedom-designed jersey.
The Bike MS community has raised more money than any other cycling event for any other cause. To date, Bike MS cyclists, volunteers, and donors have raised more than $1.4 billion.
When Paul moved to Philadelphia, PA in his late twenties, he started riding a bike to get around town without the need of a vehicle.
