Josh Maleeff - Senior Corporate Trainer (HR)
“I love seeing someone in my class have an ‘a-ha moment’ when they learn something new.”
Josh is a Senior Corporate Trainer with our Learning and Organizational Development team. His primary responsibility is to facilitate classes for professional development. At this writing, he is teaching courses focused on enhancing leadership skills and helping to shape the future leaders of Freedom. Prior to the pandemic, Josh spent most of his time facilitating face-to-face classes. During the height of COVID-19 when Freedom employees were working safely from home, his classes were delivered virtually bringing team members together from across the country.
Josh was attracted to Freedom because of its people-focused culture that places an emphasis on nurturing and developing talent.
“I’m motivated by the desire to continue learning and growing. Part of being an L&D professional is to be a lifelong learner. I enjoy discovering new things and sharing that knowledge with other people. I love seeing someone in my class have an ‘a-ha moment’ when they learn something new, or they consider a different way to approach the challenges in front of them.”
Josh has an appreciation for all the ways that Freedom takes care of its employees.
“It’s genuine, and it starts from the top with our CEO, Stan Middleman. I think it is best measured collectively by all of the little things they do for us – from something simple like providing us with lunch for an employee town hall, to supporting us by providing time off from work to give back to the community through their various philanthropic channels, to the professional development opportunities I’m able to offer our team members.”
Josh is the co-founder and co-president of a professional association for learning and development professionals in the Philadelphia area called L&D Philly. He is an avid sports fan supporting all the Philadelphia teams, Penn State and Everton (in the English Premier League).
