Maintaining a Healthy Work-Life Balance

In this article, Nina R., a First Flyer on the Sales Track, discusses how to maintain a healthy and realistic work-life balance.

“When I am clocked in, I focus entirely on work so that I know I’m giving 100% to my borrowers and being the best Loan Advisor that I can be. When I clock out, I try not to think about work so that I can fully enjoy whatever it is that I am doing,” Nina told us. “After work, I usually eat dinner and spend the evening relaxing with my family. On weekends, I think it’s important to socialize with my friends and have some time to myself to relax! Otherwise, it can feel like all my time is spent working.”

One way that Nina minimizes her screen time is by making a point to get outside each day.

“On breaks and during lunch, I always go outside if the weather permits (shoutout to Class 40, the Champions of GUGO), and I try not to look at my phone too much since I am looking at a computer all day during work,” Nina said. “Getting fresh air and looking away from screens helps me avoid feeling burnt out! I also try to get to the gym or at least go for a walk every day, as exercise is great for mental health and always makes me feel better.”

As for Nina’s number one piece of advice?

“At the end of the day, work-life balance is all about setting boundaries for yourself.”
