Get Up, Get Out: GUGO

Earlier this year, we launched an initiative to inspire staff to Get Up and Get Out—or, as we lovingly named it: GUGO! We spend most of the workday sitting at computers, so it’s very important to stand up and move around, no matter if you’re remote or in an office.

Here are some tips to help you GUGO!

Create a Schedule: It’s easy to lose track of time with a busy work week. Adding a 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM 10-minute walk every single day will not only bring a healthy habit into your life, but it will also ensure you don’t forgo GUGO!

Take a Buddy: Don’t walk alone! Ask a colleague to join you for a walk around the building to get the blood (and conversation!) flowing. If you have a pet, they will surely enjoy a quick stroll outside with you.

Try a New Hobby: Have you been meaning to try a Couch to 5K? Do you have a quick YouTube workout or cardio dance video you bookmarked for later? Getting up and away from your computer can often lead to new discoveries for a healthier, happier workspace. Productivity works best when you’re alert and inspired!
