Customer Service Champion: Ron B.
Ron B. joined Freedom Mortgage in February of 2013 and has 13 years’ experience in the mortgage industry. Although he is currently a Team Lead of the Escalations department in Operations, he has served multiple roles during his time with the company, holding titles such as Processor, Scheduler, Closing Recovery Specialist, Closing Advisor, Operations Supervisor, and Operations Manager—just to name a few! Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Ron currently resides in Willingboro, New Jersey.
“Since I speak with borrowers frequently, I have found that—in the mortgage business—communication with confidence is key,” Ron told us. “Showing empathy for a borrower’s concerns, making sure your follow-up is consistent, and taking ownership are just a few of the things that can be considered my ‘secret sauce’ to success. From a leadership standpoint, I make sure the message is communicated to the team and that everyone is on the same page. It is important for everyone to know our customers are the reason we are here.”
We asked Ron to give us a little advice that applies to work and life. His response?
“Understand that there are peaks and valleys in both life and work. We should never get too high and never get too low, because in the end, things do even out. No matter what, always give one hundred percent—and success will come!”
