Customer Service Champion: Alexia P., Social Media Marketing Specialist
Born and raised in Somerdale, New Jersey, Alexia P.’s first job in the mortgage industry started in July 2021 when she joined Freedom Mortgage as our Social Media Marketing Specialist. “I was always interested in social media growing up because it was this new and exciting online platform that could connect people from all over the world,” Alexia told us. “When I got to college, I studied Digital Communication and Social Media. That is when I learned more about the marketing and strategic side of social. From there, I got hands-on experience through a few of my internships by running company social media accounts.”
Working with social media, especially in the corporate setting – and mortgage industry! – requires a certain skill set. When it comes to interfacing on social media, her secret to providing excellent customer service to our outward-facing employees is by “being both creative and strategic at the same time. For social media, you are constantly having to think outside the box when it comes to creating content. You have to keep followers – our customers -- engaged while building that trust and online community, making sure you are targeting the right demographic based on each social media platform.”
What advice she would give to fellow colleagues that apply to work and life? “Try to be as organized as possible. When I'm not organized, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. Things can easily be get missed, so I always like to keep to-do lists and a calendar by my side as I work.”
Fun Facts: Alexia is a dog mom to a three-year-old Australian Cattle Mix.
She loves watching reality TV shows and going down the shore. She even went to the very top of the Delaware Memorial Bridge – twice!
