Mike Middleman Honored on Both NMP’s 40 Under 40 and MPA’s Rising Stars 2021
Freedom Mortgage is pleased to announce that Michael Middleman, Call Center Executive Vice President, has been honored on both National Mortgage Professional’s 40 Under 40 Influential Achievers list and MPA’s Rising Stars 2021 list. NMP’s list highlights forty individual mortgage professionals under forty years old who bring something unique to their job each day, and in doing so help to elevate the mortgage industry for others. MPA’s Rising Stars were selected based on being the top 26 highest performing mortgage professionals in the country.
“Growing up with my father’s influence in the mortgage sector of over 35 years, I was easily compelled to take on a similar role. However, I was encouraged to expand my skillset. As a teen, I learned by working in telemarketing, which quickly grew by college to opportunities in operations and sales. After college, I worked in public accounting and finance in hopes to learn the industry outside of the family business. These experiences introduced me to future key leadership in the mortgage industry, created a better level of business acumen for myself as well as skills and a clear understanding of the working field.”
Mike Middleman, who is also the founder of Freedom Mortgage's First Flyer recruitment and training program, brings a fresh perspective, innovative approach and philanthropic passion to his leadership at Freedom Mortgage. Freedom Mortgage's First Flyer college recruitment and training program develops new leaders among the mortgage lender's expanding workforce. Over the past 18 months, First Flyers have raised more than $61,000 for military organizations through multiple charity events, including a 5K run/walk, Skating for Service and a Veterans Jeans Day fundraiser. First Flyers have also collected over 1,500 brand new backpacks for schoolchildren that contained donated school supplies, including pencils, pens, notebooks, folders, glue, crayons, toys and more.
When Mike was asked what advice he would give to those just getting started in the mortgage industry, he replied, “learn everything you can about the industry and everyone’s role. The more you know, the better off you will be to offer insights to streamline processes, improve customer service or find new streams of revenue.”
